About the Author

Hello, my name is Terence Mitford and I am the author of the new hard-hitting MASON COOPER THRILLER SERIES.

I am a retired police sergeant and during a long police career, I often encountered the darker side of human nature. I will be reflecting that dark side in my books along with the fear and emotions that so many real victims endure.

So be warned, my books are not for the faint of heart.

I am determined to write novels that hook readers in the first few pages and keep them turning those pages all the way to the end. To put it another way, I endeavour to write the style of book that I like to read: Gritty, fast paced, interesting characters, and engaging plots that draw the reader in.

It has been said, by many authorities on fiction, that to be engaging stories need conflict, drama and suspense to the point of being disturbing. I agree with this sentiment. 

Why am I offering the TAKING NATASHA e-book for free?

Because as a new author I need to give readers a reason to invest time and money in reading my books. With so much choice out there, (some good, some not so good) I want to make it as easy as possible for readers to discover my books and thereby (hopefully) enjoy a new voice in the thriller genre.

I cannot do anything about the time you invest to discover my books and decide whether they are the type you would like to read (other than try to make sure it’s time well spent). I can however, make that discovery cheap, or in the case of my novella, FREE. So I guess what I’m saying is, there’s no excuse for not trying my books. And just in case you need further persuasion, try my books or I’ll pluck the meanest villain from the pages of THE SCARLET CLUB and send him around for a ‘chat,’ okay?

I am writing full time and have many books inside me waiting their turn, but for the foreseeable future I intend to develop the Mason Cooper Thriller Series. TAKING NATASHA is a FREE prequel novella e-book that tells the disturbing story of Natasha, a pretty East European girl, trafficked into London’s seedy underworld. It introduces the MASON COOPER series. THE SCARLET CLUB, is a full length novel, (published on Amazon).

My first full novel, THE SCARLET CLUB is finished and ready for publication, TAKING NATASHA was publised on Instafreebie on 2nd June, 2017 and can be downloaded FREE from the home page. It will remain a free e-book to introduce my writing and the Mason Cooper Thriller Series. It tells the story of Natasha, a character readers will meet in chapter one of THE SCARLET CLUB.
